Internal Vacancy: Senior Account Manager – Amazon account

Reporting to: Head of Corporate Accounts (IRM)
A quick look at the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Account Manager to lead the UK-wide Amazon account, Biffa’s largest contract within the IRM division. This role is responsible for overseeing operational delivery across a portfolio of Amazon sites, supporting a team of 35 Contract Managers to ensure service excellence and continued growth.
Your core responsibilities
- Oversee service performance and compliance across the Amazon estate
- Deliver regular updates and presentations to key customer stakeholders
- Engage with senior client stakeholders and fulfil the role of a credible “Critical Friend”
- Manage mobilisation of new sites, ensuring operational readiness
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver account targets
- Ensure financial control and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting
- Identify improvement opportunities and lead implementation
- Support and coordinate a consistent approach across all Contract Managers
Our essential requirements
- Background in service delivery and contract performance management
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, including P&L responsibility
- Proven ability to lead, support and coordinate teams across multiple sites
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and confident presenting at senior level
- Knowledge of waste management, logistics, or similar industries
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility for national travel
