Director of Sales, Databricks

Aimpoint Digital is a fast-growing, independently owned data, analytics, AI, and Operations Research advisory and solution engineering firm. We serve organizations of all sizes across the US and UK and have an ambitious growth strategy focused on doubling our investments within high-growth partnerships and industry verticals. We continue to realize significant demand for our team’s specialized Databricks services across platform engineering and both generative and traditional AI, and we are seeking to onboard a Director of Sales, Databricks, to support this business.

What you will focus on:

The Director of Sales, Databricks position is focused on building sustainable services business to support our firm’s objectives and the Databricks account partners. This role will own the process of managing and refining our Databricks GTM strategy in conjunction with our leadership team, partnership team, and technical SMEs, and will own the end-to-end deal management process for incoming opportunities from our Databricks partnership.

More specifically, these are the attributes that we are seeking:

  • Direct experience with Databricks in some capacity (software or services sales)
  • Ability to build and grow executive relationships with Databricks sales and partnership leaders; being relationship-oriented and going above and beyond for our partners and customers is a must - if they win, you win
  • Experience in building and managing an Enterprise sales portfolio for a high-growth channel
  • Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity through initiative, strategic thought, and grit
  • Consistent presentation development and delivery skills. You really need to love presenting our offerings and value to our partners and clients
  • Team-first mentality is a must. If you are “in it for yourself,” you won’t be successful at Aimpoint Digital. We win and lose as a team and support one another regardless of the outcome
  • Intellectual curiosity – We operate in the ever-evolving tech landscape; having the passion and aptitude to continue learning to stay up to date on market trends is a must to be successful in this role
  • Databricks competency is required. You must be able to understand an organization’s Databricks needs, work with our technical leaders to recommend specific services offerings to fulfill and be able to effectively articulate our firm’s value proposition. We operate in a market where most competitors are “racing to the bottom” to be the cheapest option, but we don’t believe that is an effective strategy, nor do we see that it creates the right outcomes for organizations. We are intentional and specific with our value proposition and expect everyone who represents our brand to be able to articulate it effectively
  • Ability to travel. We are intentional with travel but prioritize meeting face to face when needed
