Director of Sales - Pharmacy

The Director of Sales - Pharmacy will leverage their network of healthcare providers, including doctors and general practitioners, to identify and fulfill patients’ pharmaceutical needs by facilitating the direct shipment of medications through Pharmacy. This role combines hands-on sales with strategic leadership, as the successful candidate will eventually be responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team to expand our reach and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership and Strategy:

Lead by Example: Act as the primary driver of sales activities by cultivating relationships with doctors and healthcare providers to secure patient prescriptions for Pharmacy.

Develop Sales Processes: Establish and refine sales workflows and best practices to create a scalable foundation for future team expansion.

Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales representatives as the business grows, ensuring alignment with Pharmacy’s mission and goals.

Market Development:

Promote Pharmacy Services: Communicate the value proposition of our solutions to healthcare providers, emphasizing convenience and reliability for providers and patients.

Expand Market Presence: Strategically identify and approach potential healthcare partners to broaden our network and increase market penetration.

Market Insights: Gather and analyze market intelligence, adapting strategies to meet the evolving needs of providers and patients.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding the handling of medications and patient data.

Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and team progress to senior leadership.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in sales/marketing, healthcare, or a science-related field is preferred.

Experience:

Leadership Experience:

Proven experience in a sales leadership role, with a track record of building and managing successful teams.

Industry Knowledge:

5+ years of experience in Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Device sales.

Experience in dermatology, specialty pharmaceuticals, or immunology is highly preferred.

Demonstrated success in selling injectable or office-administered biologics is an advantage.

Skills and Attributes:

Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.

Strategic thinking with the ability to drive results both individually and through a team.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for improving patient care.
