The Technical / Engineering Lead serves as the principal technical authority within their domain, combining deep architectural expertise with broad knowledge across the software development lifecycle. This role is pivotal in shaping technical strategy, ensuring solutions are robust and scalable, and fostering alignment between engineering and business objectives. The Technical Lead manages the technical team’s daily work, ensuring code quality, collaboration, and efficient delivery through strong technical leadership and process discipline.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure code quality and enforce adherence to established engineering standards across the team

  • Oversee and participate in code reviews, delivering constructive feedback to support continuous improvement

  • Delegate tasks, track progress, and provide mentorship to team members to facilitate professional growth

  • Lead regular team meetings, cultivating open and effective communication

  • Identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and resolve operational challenges

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the team’s daily activities and facilitate collaboration with other functions

  • Provide architectural leadership, designing and validating technical solutions that meet both current and future needs

  • Lead the development and evolution of system architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices

  • Collaborate extensively with other teams and stakeholders to coordinate dependencies, share knowledge, and drive integrated solutions

  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of all technical aspects within their remit, serving as the primary source of information for both current state and future direction

  • Engage with product management early in the development process to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business value

  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, confidently presenting plans and responding to roadmap inquiries

  • Balance technical rigor with pragmatic decision-making, adapting solutions to meet business priorities when necessary

  • Mentor engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting high standards across the team

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated excellence in software architecture and technical leadership

  • Broad experience across multiple domains (e.g., front-end, back-end, DevOps, SRE, QA)

  • Experience with cloud platforms and microservice architectures

  • Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases

  • Experience in agile methodologies

  • Proven ability to lead cross-team initiatives and drive collaborative outcomes

  • Strong business acumen and ability to align technical strategy with organizational objectives

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging diverse audiences

  • Experience in enterprise software development (nice to have)

  • Experience with Python or other backend languages

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (nice to have)

  • Experience with Kubernetes (nice to have)

  • Experience with emerging AI technologies (nice to have)
