The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the financial planning and analysis team, focusing on Go-to-Market strategies and helping support business operations. This role will primarily drive Marketing financial analytics and assist with strategy development while interacting with other GTM teams. Additionally, the role is expected to support G&A/Operations to provide financial insights and support for our company initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adept at FP&A with a strong understanding of how marketing strategies impact overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast lead/pipeline generation, costs, and profitability related to Marketing (Demand Gen, Account Expansion) and GTM initiatives.
- Analyze Marketing, Product Marketing & GTM performance metrics and provide actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Support FP&A for business operations
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with functional teams to create and manage budgets for marketing and product marketing launch activities.
- Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis to identify and address financial discrepancies.
Strategic Support:
- Partner with Marketing and GTM teams to evaluate the financial impact of new strategies and initiatives.
- Assist in the development of business cases for new projects and investments, including cost-benefit analysis.
- Develop and implement financial processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial planning and analysis.
- Leverage data and analytics to drive continuous improvement in financial strategies.
Performance Tracking:
- Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, including ROI, CLTV, CAC, and other key performance indicators.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement to optimize Demand Gen, Account Expansion, & GTM performance.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and Marketing strategies.
- Provide financial training and support to non-financial team members as needed.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly across regionally distributed teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment across time zones
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on GTM or related areas
- 2+ years of experience in SaaS or FinTech
- 2+ years of experience in SFDC or CRM systems
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA)
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Work cooperatively with others within the organization and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work well in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
- Has predictable, reliable attendance.
The base salary for this position is between $125,000 and $135,000 plus bonus
