As Head of Cybersecurity, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Technology in our Security Team, your purpose will be to lead and shape our cybersecurity strategy, ensuring our products and internal systems are protected against emerging threats. You’ll be working closely with security engineers and other leaders across the company, influencing decisions that keep Booksy secure.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and mentoring a team of five security engineers (AppSec and DFIR).
- Defining and executing the cybersecurity roadmap aligned with business needs.
- Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to ensure security is prioritised.
- Staying ahead of security trends and emerging threats to evolve our security posture.
- Ensuring compliance with industry cybersecurity regulations and best practices.
Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you’re going to need…
- Sound experience in cybersecurity engineering. Senior level knowledge in at least two of the following areas (AppSec, CloudSec, NetSec, Security Monitoring, DFIR, Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Security)
- Proven experience in setting up and leading cybersecurity strategies.
- Hands-on skills – ability to step in and code/configure if needed.
- Collaboration skills – influencing teams rather than enforcing security by authority.
- Expertise in modern cloud-native security (GCP, AWS, SaaS, CI/CD)
- Additionally, experience with modern software development life cycle (CI/CD pipelines, frequent changes, automation)

- Strong relationships with cybersecurity vendors.
