Job description
Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!
We’re looking for an Integration Engineering Lead to join our Business Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable integration solutions that connect our core business systems—including NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, and others. You will lead integration architecture discussions, mentor other engineers, and help evolve our integration platform strategy to meet the growing needs of a global, fast-scaling organization.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to connect different SaaS providers, including NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake and other third-party systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and business stakeholders, to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Build and maintain integrations by configuring MuleSoft connectors, APIs, and custom components to facilitate data synchronization, real-time updates, and system interactions.
- Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of integration processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability of the overall solution.
- Participate in crafting best practices for the integration engineering team to follow, and assist in bringing our team and this space up to public company standards.
- Collaborate with our workday HRIS team to consult on and build Studio integrations to and from our Workday instance
- Mentor junior integration engineers and contribute to technical leadership across the Business Technology team.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mulesoft
- Mulesoft Platform Architect / Developer certification
- Experience leading large-scale integration projects and working with diverse technical teams
- Solid understanding of API design principles, RESTful architecture, and web services (SOAP, XML, JSON)
- Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, Workday, or other enterprise systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Experience with SOX & ITGC’s and the impact of those regulations on the integration engineering space
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for data transformation and integration
- Knowledge of API security frameworks and protocols, including OAuth, JWT, and SAML
- Background in Data Science or Data Engineering, especially in building data pipelines or supporting analytics initiatives through integrations
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
