Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to support senior engineers in building and maintaining infrastructure, automating processes, developing web applications, APIs, and assisting in system monitoring and logging. The candidate should have good communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and be familiar with programming languages like PHP and Python.
Requirements
- Good understanding of REST APIs and JSON, and demonstrated experience using Postman
- Fluent with Excel for importing, exporting and manipulating data
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as switches, access points, and VLANs
- Basic experience interacting with virtual machines and ESXI
Responsibilities
- Support our senior engineers in building and maintaining robust infrastructure and automating processes
- Assist in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure using automation tools like Ansible
- Collaborate with the development team to deploy and maintain web applications using PHP and Python
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of RESTful APIs for seamless integration
- Assist in setting up and managing monitoring systems like ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
- Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders for smooth integration and deployment of software updates
- Assist in implementing security best practices, conducting security scans, and vulnerability assessments
- Maintain documentation for systems, applications, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
