Why this role matters:

We’re looking for an Developer Advocate (Network API) to join the Vonage Developer Relations team and drive adoption of our Network APIs, such as Sim Swap, QoD or Device Location. In this role, you’ll focus on enhancing developer experience and reducing implementation complexity while navigating compliance requirements. Your work will blend technical expertise with practical implementation knowledge to help developers overcome the unique challenges of network-level integrations, ensuring successful adoption of our Network APIs across diverse use cases.

As a Developer Advocate (Network API), you will create solutions and guidance that simplify the integration of Vonage’s Network APIs. Your expertise will help developers understand and implement complex network-level features while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. A key focus will be on creating sample apps and other resources that address the specific challenges of network API implementation, from initial testing to production deployment.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Technical Advocacy: Develop and maintain comprehensive implementation guides, sample applications, and tooling specifically for Network APIs
  • Developer Experience: Build proof-of-concepts, reference implementations, and debugging tools that showcase best practices for Network API implementation
  • Developer Feedback: Gather and analyze developer feedback to identify opportunities for tooling improvements and new automation solutions
  • Community Engagement: Represent Vonage at technical events, focusing on network-level solutions and compliance considerations
  • Product Feedback: Collaborate with Product teams to provide developer perspective on Network API features

What you’ll bring

Required:

  • Software development experience and experience with API integration
  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote environment

Experience we consider a plus:

  • Previous Developer Experience, Developer Relations or Developer Advocacy experience
  • Background in creating developer documentation and technical content
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages
  • Familiarity with cloud communication platforms (CPaaS), Network APIs, and Vonage APIs
  • Knowledge of global telecommunications regulations
