🌟 Your Role in Our Team
We’re looking for a People + Culture Generalist whose equal parts strategic partner and hands-on problem solver. - Coach and empower Team Leads and Managers to apply fair, values-aligned people practices across the employee lifecycle.
- Drive and support meaningful People & Culture programs, from engagement and performance to development, accommodations, and change management.
- Lead investigations and facilitate conflict resolution with empathy, confidentiality, and timeliness.
- Support team and org evolution—including org design, restructures, promotions, and offboarding—with care and clarity.
- Manage leaves of absence (e.g., parental, disability), ensuring a seamless experience and full compliance with relevant legislation.
- Contribute to thoughtful policy development, compliance tracking, and employee documentation.
- Support immigration processes and paperwork where needed.
- Ensure we stay compliant with provincial/state, federal, and internal policies in both Canada and the U.S.
- Partner with Payroll to ensure employee changes are reflected accurately and on time.
- Analyze people data and trends to spot risks and opportunities—and recommend proactive solutions.
- Champion our digital-first HR approach: using tools and systems (like BambooHR or Lattice) to streamline processes, stay organized, and enable smart, data-informed decisions.
- Keep people processes tidy, documented, and impactful—bringing structure and clarity to everything you do.
- Be a champion of our culture—modelling our values and helping to foster an inclusive, people-first workplace.
🧠 What You Bring:
- A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a generalist or advisory capacity.
- Well-versed in Canadian employment law and HR practices, with some experience navigating U.S. regulations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills—you know how to earn trust and create psychological safety.
- A bias for action, accountability, and collaboration—you meet people where they are, and help move them forward.
- A data-informed mindset and problem-solving approach—you see patterns, make sense of nuance, and act accordingly.
