Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a PHP Developer or in a similar role
  • Experience working with and managing cloud services and cloud resources & domains
  • Experience working with Ubuntu/Unix CLI and Apache or Nginx
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, etc.)
  • Understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
  • Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases and writing complex SQL queries
  • Knowledge, and willingness to learn about NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain cutting-edge web applications using PHP and other relevant technologies (MySQL/PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver technical solutions
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Follow industry best practices in web development and software engineering
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and project outcomes
  • Ability to “think product”, and make common-sense, product-related decisions
  • Ability to execute a project, end to end, from requirements to production-ready
