Job Summary:
We are looking for a Product Owner to organize, prioritize and assess work for our Scrum team.
Your responsibilities will include gathering feature requirements from clients, subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders, translating them into stories, scheduling releases and coordinating sprints. To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.
You will have the unique experience of being on the cutting edge of software development and influencing the vision and blueprint of over your product. Ultimately, you’ll help us roll-out products that deliver our company’s vision.
Reports to: Director of Product Management
Location: Fort Wayne, IN or Atlanta, GA or Remote USA
Responsibilities:
Work alongside clients and subject matter experts to develop business and system use cases, functional, non-functional and operational requirements
Define epics, user stories, flow charts, system requirements and business rules to assist in the development of software.
Participate in design sessions lead by UX team to ensure that the solutions meet business needs.
Lead PI (Program Increment) planning, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions to transform features into stories.
Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Provide support to software development and QA staff as needed.
Act as subject matter expert during discovery and requirement meetings.
Understand and be aware of Juvare information security policies and standards.
Work with our Project Managers managing work; assist with operational transition, internal and client training, knowledge transfer and SOP documentation
Document the final as-built configuration following completion of implementation, as well as demo end-to-end solutions to clients for acceptance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college preferred or equivalent experience
Experience writing requirements and developing process flows.
Experience in consulting, software development and implementations in a client facing role.
Skills/ Knowledge Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to understand complex software workflow platforms and collaborate with technical personnel.
Desire to understand the emergency and operational management mission of our clients and how our software solutions support its continual improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating collaboration and adaptability.
Ability to organize, plan and manage follow up action.
Familiarity with project management and/or software development tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, MS Project, Confluence).
A passion for technology, curiosity to learn new skills/technology with a fail-fast approach.
A passion to provide excellent value to clients.
Preferred
2-3 years recent experience as an Emergency Manager for State/Local governments or working to support emergency managers in this role.
Familiarity with standard emergency management practices and ICS, FEMA Disaster Assistance programs, and/or prior experience working directly with emergency management agencies.
Ability and willingness to travel 5% (average over course of a year).
