About the Role
Syndio is looking for a Product Owner to help shape and deliver innovative features across our expanding platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute across multiple product areas—including intelligent compensation planning, compliance, and data-driven insights—working alongside passionate colleagues in product, engineering, design, and customer success. In this role, you’ll help define and deliver new capabilities from concept to launch. You’ll refine the product backlog, gather feedback from users, and turn strategic priorities into well-scoped, high-quality product experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to ensure our solutions drive measurable impact and support the evolving needs of global organizations. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on solving real-world problems, is energized by the pace of high-growth company, and is eager to work across multiple product domains with a mix of autonomy and mentorship.

You’ll be responsible for tactical, day-to-day execution of the product vision, including:
Product Research
- Conduct competitive research to help to inform strategy and competitive differentiation.
- Interview internal stakeholders and customers to get feedback on feature designs.
Backlog & Requirements Management
- Translate high-level feature ideas into actionable deliverables, such as epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows.
- Ensure developers have the product requirements and understanding to execute effectively.
Enablement
- Build product launch materials, such as FAQs, help manuals, and feature videos.
Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between customers, stakeholders, and the development team to align on priorities.
- Partner closely with designers to create cohesive user experiences that reflect product strategies.
Development Partnership
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Communicate feature goals to ensure alignment within the team.
- Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to plan releases and mitigate risks to sprint goals.
Quality and Performance
- Monitor feature performance post-launch, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to guide ongoing enhancements.
- Define and track metrics and KPIs to measure feature success and inform future development.
Basic Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or a similar role in an Agile environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with tools such as Jira, Notion, or other product management platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and act on data-driven insights.
- Passionate about understanding and addressing customer needs.
- Leadership skills that inspire and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organization and prioritization, effectively managing competing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with software development concepts.
- You are a morning person, capable of working earlier hours (starting at 8am), to align with our East Coast team.

- 💰 Competitive Compensation. For this role our salary is targeted at $88-103k CAD per year.

Role progression:
Month 1: Immediate Impact From day one, you’ll be immersed in our platform. you’ll complete a comprehensive and supportive onboarding process to help you understand the product, the business, and the customer journey.
Month 2: Proactive Contribution You’ll be taking over the requirements for in-flight features and prepping features.
Month 3: Driving Execution By the third month, you’ll be fully up to speed and self-sufficient to drive innovation, building and launching new features, interacting with customers to collect feedback, iterating on existing features, and driving ongoing improvements.
