About the role

The RPA Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the technical execution of RPA

projects and leading a team of RPA Engineers, in addition to contributing in designing, implementing

and delivering automation solutions to streamline workflows and processes in Lendi Group, working

within a cross-functional team. Using Power Automate, the team will build software robots and develop

end-to-end automated solutions to transform manual, repetitive tasks digitally. They aim to increase

efficiency, reduce costs, improve data quality, and help free up employee time by taking overrule-based

activities.

This role demands a balance of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strategic thinking to

effectively guide Lendi Group’s RPA projects and contribute to the company’s growth and success.

Please note, this will be an initial 6 month fixed term opportunity.

Job Description

  • Overseeing the technical execution of engineering projects and leading a team of engineers.
  • Facilitating team progress towards goals by offering technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Supporting hiring processes and enabling team growth through defining SOPs and KPIs.
  • Ensuring high standards of code quality and promoting best practices in testing and development.
  • Driving strategic initiatives to enhance the team’s overall engineering capabilities.
  • Collaborating with different stakeholders, including business and technical teams, to align engineering efforts with business objectives, following the agile software project management framework.
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous feedback, effective communication, and team collaboration.
  • Identifying suitable automation technologies, tools, and platforms to support process automation efforts.
  • Implementing automation solutions using industry-standard tools and frameworks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation, driving ongoing enhancements to automation capabilities and processes.
  • Leading automation projects to streamline workflows and increase productivity

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a technical team, with a focus on mentoring and developing engineering talent.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in RPA development and a solid understanding of RPA engineering practices.
  • Significant and relevant industry experience in automation, workflow optimisation, and process re-engineering (inc. robotic process automation).
  • Exceptional skills in problem-solving, process improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing for effective teamwork and stakeholder management
  • Expert in Power Automate and/or Power Apps, and their best practice development standards.
  • Understanding of automation trends and technologies and driving enhancements to automation solutions and processes.
  • Proven experience in database and programming scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Understanding of RPA development and project methodologies.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Experience with popular web application frameworks (e.g., React)
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
