Position Overview:
As a Sales Development Representative Intern at Bainbridge, you will be a crucial member of our business development team, responsible for generating new business opportunities. This position is not easy- rather, it is a performance-based, real-world sales role where you will experience repetitive assignments and objections. However, you will also build communication skills, business acumen, and resilience that will follow you throughout your career. You will also learn how client relationships are built from scratch- and position yourself for a long-term career in financial services, advising, or business development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive outbound prospecting calls to identify potential clients.
- Qualify leads and set appointments for sales executives through effective communication and active listening.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions in our CRM system.
- Continuously improve your knowledge of our products/services, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled senior or recent graduate of BA/BS degree program in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Prior experience in sales, customer service, or a similar role, highly preferred.
- Experience in private equity, financial services, or related professional services, preferred.
- Adept at handling objections and overcoming challenges in a professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate product offerings and value propositions effectively.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and delivering results.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
