Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Remote
Work Shift: Hawaii Timezone
Working Hours: Part-time (initially 20 hours per week), with potential to increase based on workload
Job Description:
We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to own and execute end-to-end accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings solid accounting expertise, strong attention to detail, and a hands-on approach. This role is perfect for someone comfortable working in a lean tech stack (primarily QuickBooks and ADP) while delivering high-level financial accuracy and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure up-to-date, GAAP-compliant books using QuickBooks and other general accounting tools.
Handle full-cycle accounts payable and receivable. Collaborate with external partners for select AP/AR functions.
Categorize, code, and map all financial transactions with accuracy and consistency.
Create and manage bills, invoices, and sales order records.
Process biweekly payroll through ADP and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead the month-end close process, including posting revenue, managing accruals, and reconciling accounts.
Maintain capital expenditure (capex) and depreciation schedules in accordance with accounting standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP Payroll
In-depth understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
Experience with revenue recognition, accruals, and month-end close
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
CPA or CPA track a plus
