About the team & opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Content Designer who will shape how millions of users experience our product, through words. You’ll own our product’s voice and tone while collaborating closely with Designers to make our product more usable, accessible, and delightful. As a key player in shaping the user experience, your work will directly impact our users’ satisfaction and the success of our products.
The Design Team at Calendly is a tight knit group of creatives working closely with Product Management and Engineering to craft amazing experiences for our users. We believe that great design starts with talking with our users, and that the best solutions come from interdisciplinary collaboration.
A day in the life of a Senior Content Designer at Calendly
On a typical day, you will:
- Own the voice and tone of the product, making sure it’s used consistently.
- Build content design systems, strategies, and guidelines that scale with our growing team and product offering, ensuring a unified approach to content creation.
- Switch seamlessly between high level strategic thinking and detail level execution of writing copy.
- Improve usability through clear, actionable writing in product.
- Conduct and collaborate on user research to test content effectiveness and iterate based on user feedback.
- Work closely with Designers, Researchers, Developers, Product Managers, and Marketing to understand user goals, and craft meaningful, clear content.
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusion by implementing content strategies that make our product accessible to a diverse range of users.
What We’re Looking For

- 5+ years creating and building content experiences with a proven track record of crafting engaging and effective content across various platforms.
- Experience driving Content Design in a SaaS environment, with a focus on making complex interactions feel simple.
- Portfolio demonstrating content strategy, systems thinking, and measurable impact on user experience.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, inclusive design, and content best practices.
- Experience with content research methods, such as card sorting, tree testing, and A/B testing to inform content decisions.
- Experience writing content that is accessible and can be easily localized.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.
Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.
Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:
- Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
- Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
- Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
