What we are looking for:

We are looking fora seasoned hands-on Data Architect with experience designing and implementing cloud-native data solutions and infrastructure that can join our team. This position will strategically create roadmaps that will bring several sources under one centralized data repository to ensure single sources of truth, data quality, and governance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current state of data architecture, solutions, principles, policies, and standards and identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
  • Define the future state data architecture, bridging strategic vision and technical execution focusing on the business strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other capability team members to translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
  • Design and develop data platforms to ingest, store, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured data sets from sources like blobs, files, APIs, streaming, and DBs.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred) in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 9+ years’ experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a similar role with demonstrable experience in the IT services and consulting industry preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud data architecture (preferably Azure).
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions and pipelines using cloud technologies and modern data stack tools like Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of data warehousing/lake architectures, data modeling, data integration techniques, and big data processing frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles, data quality management, and data security best practices.
  • Problem-solving and communication skills to work with technical and business teams.

Nice to have:

  • Architecture & data certifications that are cloud-related (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer Associate, Data Engineer Pro, etc).
  • Experience working with visualization tools like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.
  • Streaming exposure (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Apache Flink, Azure Event Hubs).
