The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and technically fluent Senior Product Manager – Financial Postings to own the critical accounting workflows within our newly launched Digital Payments Platform (DPP). This role is focused on building a reliable and scalable financial postings layer—ensuring that complex, global transactions are accurately parsed, posted, and reconciled in a way that aligns with accounting best practices and regional compliance requirements.
You won’t be tinkering with someone else’s roadmap. You’ll design and own a new system from the ground up—bringing clarity and structure to a domain with complex business logic, regional tax requirements, and multiple financial touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Ownership: Define and execute the product roadmap for financial postings within DPP, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance across all transaction types (buyer fees, seller fees, inspection charges, licensing, etc.).
Accounting & Finance Logic: Translate standard accounting workflows into reusable services that enable accurate charge breakdowns, entity-level mappings, cost management, and revenue recognition.
Systems Integration: Ensure proper handoff between DPP and Oracle FIS, owning timing, parsing, and mapping decisions that affect the broader financial ecosystem.
Global Compliance: Exposure to factoring in country-specific requirements (e.g., e-invoicing in the EU, indirect taxes, consignment rules) as we scale from the US to Canada and Europe.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, engineering, compliance, and product teams to turn ambiguous technical problems into practical, user-validated solutions.
Data & Dashboards: Create visibility and traceability of transactions across systems—enabling reconciliation, flagging upstream failures, and informing downstream financial operations.
Customer Insight & Stakeholder Management: Gather feedback from internal and external users to validate designs, define metrics, and deliver outcomes that support both the business and our customers.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in product management or program management with direct responsibility for financial systems, accounting workflows, or transaction infrastructure.
Accounting Expertise: Deep understanding of accounting principles, cost allocation, financial reconciliation, and revenue operations. CPA or direct accounting experience strongly preferred.
Technical Fluency: Familiarity with APIs, ERP systems (especially Oracle), and service-oriented architecture in financial platforms.
Global Perspective: Experience building financial tools with international considerations such as VAT, e-invoicing, and cross-border entity structures.
Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to solve complex business and technical problems through structured analysis, data-driven insights, and creative product design.
Stakeholder Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams including finance, engineering, legal, and compliance.
Nice to Have
Experience in marketplaces, regulated industries, or other complex transaction environments (e.g., automotive, equipment leasing, logistics, healthcare, etc.)
Familiarity with financial reporting and audit readiness in global organizations
Exposure to high-volume payment or invoicing systems and related compliance tooling
