We’re a recruiting firm founded in 2014. We specialize in placing talent for high-growth companies and digital transformations. We provide technical, executive, sales, GTM, and product recruiting services. We partner with PE and VC-backed companies to scale engineering and product organizations, hiring from executive to individual contributor levels.

We operate with an ‘Anti-Recruiter Method,’ meaning we start each search from scratch instead of relying on existing databases. Our process begins with a business-first discovery phase to define client needs, followed by founder-led sourcing. We screen candidates to establish mutual fit and provide clients with detailed insights, including their motivation and closing requirements. We manage the interview process, candidate communication, and the closing phase. We focus on clear compensation early on and transparency regarding competing opportunities. After placement, we offer 3-call New Hire Success Coaching, which has led to a 98% candidate retention rate after one year.

Our key performance metrics show 88% of candidates pass the hiring manager interview. On average, it takes 49 hours from intake to the first candidate screen, and 13 days to introduce a client to their eventual hire. We address various hiring challenges like critical hires, hard-to-find talent, quality issues, long search times, and high-volume needs, supporting companies from pre-seed to post-IPO.

We built our recruiting services differently, coming from a background in career coaching rather than traditional recruiting. This is our ‘Anti-Recruiter DNA.’ Our operations prioritize a candidate-first approach: treating candidates with respect through clear communication and an experience that reflects employer values. We emphasize speed and substance, aiming for quick candidate delivery while remaining thorough and ensuring early alignment. We have 11-50 employees and were founded by Scott Swedberg (CEO) and Eric Fettner (COO). We describe our culture as ‘anti-recruiters,’ because we built our methodology without adhering to traditional recruiting norms. Our team acts as partners to clients, aiming to understand their business beyond just job descriptions. This approach comes from our founders’ experience raising funding, building teams, and recognizing the challenges of poor hires. We prioritize building trust-based relationships, operating with speed, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Our employees have autonomy and ownership on projects. We offer a $100/month work-from-home stipend, a $200/month wellness stipend, and a WeWork office stipend. We offer generous paid parental leave. Compensation packages include competitive base salaries (e.g., $150,000-$180,000) and equity, with some roles offering founder-level or top-tier equity. We offer flexible paid time off, including unlimited PTO, and flexible hours where results are prioritized over strict timekeeping. Performance bonuses are also available. For some roles, benefits include twice-yearly trips to meet teammates in person and options for remote or hybrid work (e.g., 3 days/week in San Francisco for certain positions).
