About the role
Reporting to the Senior Studio Manager, the Senior Production Manager plays a key role across the department. You’ll partner closely with multiple teams to offer strategic production guidance across a wide range of deliverables—everything from print collateral and stock art to font purchases, vendor coordination, and financial tracking.
You’ll lead the flow of printed materials through the agency—organizing, managing, and monitoring every step. That includes checking schedules, developing specs, reviewing quality, and making sure deadlines are met. You’ll collaborate with outside vendors to ensure every print job meets company standards. And you’ll work side-by-side with our Creative Teams to make sure all files are built to spec and ready for production.
What you’ll do
- Uphold and train on Production best practices
- Ensure production quality and on-time delivery of all collateral, media/print advertising, promotions, and conference materials
- Coordinate print vendor management including:
-Purchase orders
-Production schedules
-File release creative
-Receipt and approval of proofs
-Receipt, approval, and distribution of samples
-Shipping coordination
-Delivery confirmation(s)
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs and expectations of all agency clients pertaining to production of jobs
- Establish strong working relationships with vendors to ensure the best visual quality as defined by Avalere Health’s visual standards
- Collaborate with project management regarding estimating, planning, scheduling, and organizing of production tasks
- Collaborate with Art Directors to develop specifications of each project
- Review and approve all layouts with agency creative staff
- Communicate and inform the art director of any techniques that may pose production problems and offer solutions, alternatives, or cautions
- Manage vendor relationships with Stock Image vendors and negotiate pricing and usage rights
- Understand licensing restrictions and can appropriately license assets on behalf of our clients
- The ability to educate creative team members on proper font and stock asset licensing
- Management of an Enterprise level font management system
About you
- 5+ years relevant or transferrable experience
- Strong working knowledge and experience in the printing process
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite programs
- Working knowledge of Adobe Workfront and Airtable are not required
- Respect for details, organization, and planning
- Aptitude to continue to learn business management and production techniques
- Excels at communication and multi-tasking, accountable while holding others accountable, comfortable under pressure and effectively manage stress
$75,000 - $90,000 a year
