Senior Solutions Architect
REMOTE (Central U.S. candidates preferred)

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Solutions Architect with substantial cybersecurity expertise and a passion for customer success. In this role, you’ll build meaningful relationships with prospects and clients, delivering tailored, high-impact security solutions that align with their current challenges and future needs.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the latest security technologies, understand how to adapt them across industries, and translate complex needs into actionable strategies. As part of our innovative team, you’ll help transform the security landscape from reactive defense to proactive risk reduction and incident mitigation. You’ll play a key role in empowering customers to better understand their threat landscape, minimize their security risks, and prepare to effectively respond in the event of an incident.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic bridge between technical and business realms, creating value for key stakeholders.
- Partner with Account Executives and Channel Partners to qualify, shape, and win new business opportunities in specific regions.
- Deliver compelling technical demos that showcase how the Pondurance MDR stack (EDR, SIEM, Network Traffic Analysis, and Vulnerability Management Services) detects, responds to, and reports on threats.
- Lead or support Proof-of-Concept engagements, ensuring success criteria, technical validation of the solution, and successful evaluation by stakeholders.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather technical requirements and design tailored cybersecurity solutions that align with business objectives.
- Ensure successful transition from sales to implementation teams by clearly documenting requirements and participating in onboarding calls as needed.
- Support Account Managers & Technical Account Managers in driving retention and satisfaction among existing key customers.
- Act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to prospects and clients, offering insights that support risk reduction and incident readiness.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop high-impact technical content that supports demand generation and thought leadership.
- Stay informed on industry trends, threat landscapes, compliance requirements, and competitor offerings to articulate Pondurance’s unique value proposition effectively.
- Gather and share prospect and customer feedback with product and engineering teams to help guide the product roadmap and enhance solution relevance.
- Travel as needed to support customer engagement, industry events, or team collaboration.
Technologies:
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills:
Sales engineering background or 5+ years of relevant work experience
Advanced knowledge of endpoint security or network security space – AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS/IDS, etc.
Advanced experience in the security service provider space – MSSP, MDR, Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, etc
Ability to provide expert recommendations on new solutions and improvements based on market trends
Ability to do hands-on testing with our solution
Knowledge of malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis
Experience in an IT role, specifically as an Admin (preferred)
Deep understanding of the OSI model as well as industry compliance such as PCI, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR, etc (preferred)
Understanding of encryption, privacy, risk management, and other important aspects that touch, influence or drive security decisions (preferred)
Security Certifications (preferred)
