Essential Functions:
- Provide technical support for the Nextgen EHR platform, including triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues
- Collaborate with clinical and operations staff to understand workflows and translate requirements into system configurations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Nextgen EHR processes and configurations.
- Implement and manage system updates, patches, and upgrades for the Nextgen EHR platform.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for optimization
- Enforce security policies and best practices within the Nextgen EHR environment.
- Provide general IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Required (Education/Experience/Competencies):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
- 3+ years of experience working with the Nextgen EHR platform.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT infrastructure and security standards (HIPAA).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Preferred (Education/Experiences/Competencies):
- Nextgen Certified Professional or similar Nextgen certification.
- Experience with database management and SQL.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with network protocols and security.
- Experience with IT project management methodologies.
Licenses:
- Nextgen Certified Professional or similar Nextgen certification.
Fair work deserves fair wages. At Valera, we value this role at between $100,000-$120,000/year with the potential for an annual performance bonus.
