Senior Technical Writer

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the functionality of Chaos products, their end-user workflows, and their documentation.

  • Produce high-quality, easy-to-understand documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for the intended audiences of Enscape.

  • Create tutorials to help end users understand and use our productsโ€™ features.

  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on optimization and improvement.

  • Maintain the information architecture, observing the existing internal technical guide for both visual and logical organization of data; updating the technical guide with the newest workflows and requirements.

  • Support the product release cycle process on behalf of the documentation. This includes, but is not limited to: collaborating with all teams involved to stay up to date with the product development and the release process, updating the documentation, and preparing examples, tutorials, or scenes for the new features.

  • Research, gather, and analyze usersโ€™ opinions and needs from various CG channels to improve the documentation.

  • Work with and maintain the current documentation platform (Confluence).

Requirements

  • Excellent written skills in English.

  • Ability to deliver high-quality documentation paying attention to detail.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable using various media.

  • Ability to navigate complex projects and processes, work with multiple stakeholders, and organize and/or delegate the tasks within the team.

  • Work with Confluence administration; test in staging and production environment Confluence updates for compatibility with macros and plugins.

  • Ability to devise solutions for a broad range of complex challenges, including platform-specific issues, guidelines for colleagues, team workflows, informational gaps, and the accessibility of documentation content.

  • Understand the origin, standards, and context of industry lingo (terminology), and stay updated with current and emerging technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • A strong team player.
