About the opportunity

Do you have a passion for storytelling through the lens of brand ambassadors? A desire for creating an engaging content strategy? The awareness of building positive online communities?

The ideal Social Media Specialist will have demonstrable experience in growing online social engagement, capturing user generated content from member bases for short-form video, and engaging with social influencers to craft compelling content. Creativity is key, with a knack for knowing your audience. Graphic design and video editing experience is a must.

As our Social Media Specialist, you’ll drive client acquisition and customer retention by developing original, engaging social content for the Home Services division of Xplor Technologies (FieldEdge, Service Autopilot, and Xplor Spot). You’ll create and manage the social strategy, build content calendars, develop engaging content that nurtures positive interactions, and serve as our in-house social platform expert, working with our marketing team to implement eye-catching organic posts to support our campaigns. You’ll also manage our online communities, responding to member requests, as well as be the “voice of our company” as you respond to online reviews.

Some of the other responsibilities include :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple brands to drive brand awareness, engagement, and revenue objectives.
  • Create and manage high-quality content, including short-form videos and user-generated content, for various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Monitor social media channels, track key performance metrics, and provide regular analytics reports to senior marketing leaders.
  • Improve our user generated content by working with various internal departments to identify happy customers, then provide outreach to those customers to obtain UGC.
  • Engage with online communities, respond to member requests, and manage the company’s reputation by addressing reviews on platforms like Google and Capterra.
  • Stay current with social media trends, algorithm changes, and competitor activities to optimize content strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and showcase happy customers, supporting user-generated content initiatives and GTM campaigns.
  • Coordinate with writers, designers, and web developers to produce marketing deliverables that align with overall brand strategy.
  • Travel occasionally to capture in-the-field content and maintain a deep understanding of the field service industry.
  • Increase YouTube views, find new collaborations, and onboard social influencers.
  • Research field service industry-related topics to develop an understanding of your audiences.

- The average base salary pay range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000

Location: You can work fully remote in this position, provided you have eligible working rights, and you are in a time zone with enough overlap to collaborate with your team.

Qualifications

What would make me a good candidate?

  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media channels for a creative agency or in-house brand, with a shareable portfolio
  • Experience in SaaS or Field Service Industry
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Communications
  • Proficiency in creating short-form video content and graphic design (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
  • Experience in obtaining user-generated content (UGC) and working with social influencers
  • Knowledge of social media analytics tools (HootSuite, Hubspot, Google Analytics, etc.) and SEO best practices
  • Ability to create compelling B2B narratives and multimedia assets
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
