Job description

Network Optix (Nx) is a global powerhouse in video software development, driven by a mission to empower the creation of intelligent video-based solutions and products capable of converting video into actionable data. Over a decade in the making, the Network Optix Enterprise Video Operating System helps innovative organizations rapidly and affordably build world-class, custom-tailored, enterprise-scale video products and solutions.

Nx is headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, with additional locations in Burbank, California, Portland, Oregon, Belgrade, Serbia, Taipei, Taiwan, and regional teams distributed across the globe. Recognized on the Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list for 9 years running, we are committed to expanding our teams cross-functionally and globally.

Network Optix aims to power the worldโ€™s most intelligent video solutions, with the ultimate goal of carving a path toward revolutionizing the landscape of video technology and transforming how we perceive the world around us.

We are looking for a system and product design professional, who is ready to take on responsibilities that go beyond what is usually considered a system analyst job. You will take ownership and play a core role in the design and development of new features for our VMS. You will be defining the most effective and elegant way of implementing them, using your knowledge of modern technologies and our product and UX design guidelines and principles. We value your ability to explain complicated things in a simple way more than complex and detailed specifications.

If this sounds interesting to you we would love to meet and tell you more about it!

What youโ€™ll be doing

  • Translate business goals into technical solutions, creating detailed specifications of the solution, from software architecture to UI wireframes and prototypes

  • Drive the discovery and research phase: conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, competitor research, user research, study the product to uncover explicit and implicit needs

  • Own the solution design and present it to stakeholders (business, product, sales, development, QA, partners), explaining trade-offs and facilitating informed decision-making

  • Act as a liaison between business and tech teams, translating domain language into technical requirements and vice versa, ensuring mutual understanding and smooth delivery

  • Support and coordinate the implementation process, resolving ambiguities, facilitating decisions, and ensuring all parties stay aligned with the agreed solution

  • Maintain and evolve solution specifications, including diagrams if needed, keeping everything up-to-date across the solution lifecycle

  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, providing deep product and process knowledge

  • Prepare detailed functional descriptions and context to onboard designers into the feature development process, review design solutions, and provide constructive feedback to ensure alignment with business goals and technical constraint

What weโ€™re looking for

  • 6+ years of experience as a System Analyst / Technical Program Manager / Product Manager/ Product Analyst / Business Systems Analyst or similar
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Ability to create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
  • Proven ability to break down complex problems and communicate them clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience writing detailed specifications, use cases, or user stories and acceptance criteria, UML diagrams, etc.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to influence product and technical decisions through data-driven analysis and stakeholder alignment
  • Experience working on web-based products, preferably in SaaS, B2B, or other complex, multi-user systems
  • Hands-on experience using Figma, Jira, Slack and Confluence as part of daily workflow for analysis, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Understanding of development processes
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability; delivers results even in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and integrity.
  • Effective communicator and team player, willing to contribute beyond core responsibilities to achieve shared goals.
  • Good command of English (B2+)

What we offer

  • Competitive compensation
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible working hours
  • Onsite work in our brand-new comfortable office
  • Employer-sponsored health coverage
  • Working with top industry experts in our international team
