We’re a Web3 studio founded in 2018, building software for a more open, safe, and composable web. We specialize in distributed data, decentralized identity, developer tools, blockchain, and cryptography.

Our main product, Ceramic, is a decentralized network for composable Web3 data. It lets developers build data-rich Web3 applications without needing traditional databases, making data composable and portable across the Web3 ecosystem. Ceramic supports 12,000 developers and powers 1,400 projects.

Another key offering is IDX (Identity Index), a decentralized, cross-platform identity standard built on Ceramic. It gives users a central way to manage their digital identities, letting developers associate various data types with a user. This system allows users to build a unified digital identity and applications to share user data across different domains and ecosystems.

3ID Connect is an authentication SDK designed for Ceramic and IDX applications in browsers. It lets users control their identity using existing Web3 wallets like Ethereum, Filecoin, Cosmos, and EOS.

Previously, 3Box was a standard for user profiles on Ethereum, accumulating over 40,000 accounts and offering decentralized profiles, storage, and messaging SDKs. Users and developers currently using 3Box are migrating to IDX and Ceramic. Our platforms collectively serve 35,000 identities.
