As our new (Senior) Business Development Manager AY Commerce (m/f/d) you will lead various strategic and operational projects simultaneously within the core business of ABOUT YOU. As the project leader you will have end-to-end responsibility for your own projects reporting the results directly to the top management of ABOUT YOU.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of ABOUT YOU by addressing core strategic business questions in a high-paced tech and e-commerce environment. Thereby, you will develop a deep understanding of all business aspects of ABOUT YOU and quickly grow a comprehensive strategic and operational skill set. Your work will range from strategic growth projects (e.g., new business models, expansions), profitability-focussed projects (e.g. AI process automations) to exciting cross-company initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement key strategic and operational projects in cross-functional settings
- Act as a sparring partner for strategic tasks initiated by the Management Board
- Develop new business fields in collaboration with operational teams within the ABOUT YOU core business
- Conduct independent and complex analysis and translate insights into action
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders from all backgrounds & hierarchies
- Identify and analyze relevant KPIs and deduct concrete actions to develop our company
Requirements
- Strong academic track record at a top university
- Several years of practical experience in strategy & business development, in a leading consultancy or other fast-paced environments
- Very good analytical skills and distinctive understanding of numbers / business modelling
- Empathy & communication skills - you get along well, communicate effectively and drive results with all kinds of stakeholders & personalities
- Strong intrinsic motivation with a bias for action and willingness to take ownership
- Growth mindset & willingness to learn something everyday
- Can do mentality - you don’t stop at obstacles but strive for alternate solutions
- ​​​​​​​Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
