We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Senior Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) to become part of our App & Web Team at ABOUT YOU onsite in Hamburg or Berlin.
Our App & Web Team constantly improves the App, Mobile Website and Desktop Website. These big-scale products are each visited by several million people every month. The team’s focus is to provide the most inspiring, convenient, intuitive, and easy-to-use shopping experience for our customers. They constantly challenge themselves to raise the bar of what is “state of the art” in customer-facing products.
What you will do
- Perform high-quality manual testing for the ABOUT YOU Web Shop (Desktop, Mobile Web and Tablet), covering the whole customer journey
- Collaborate closely with web developers to understand project requirements and provide input on testing strategies
- Oversee the quality of the application and contribute to creating a strong user experience
- Take ownership of bug reports or tickets from internal and external stakeholders, prioritise them based on their business value, and ensure timely resolution
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of ABOUT YOU’s long-term automated testing strategy
- Act as an advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement, by taking ownership of the quality standards
- Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality features
- Support testing logic from other teams too (Backend) - Testing from an holistic approach, looking at the full customer journey
Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, and debugging of frontend applications, preferably websites and large-scale projects
- Proficient in manual testing techniques, including exploratory and destructive testing, as well as automated testing
- Familiarity with process and ticketing tools such as Jira and Confluence, enabling effective collaboration and organisation
- Strong knowledge and experience with testing tools, particularly TestRail, for efficient test management and reporting
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical systems, allowing for efficient testing and debugging activities
- Web technologies: A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, browser developer tools, and REST APIs.
- Experience working with agile methodologies and implementing a quality mindset in an agile environment
- Passion for delivering innovative features quickly while maintaining high reliability standards
- Detail-oriented approach to testing, with a strong focus on test case design as well as business value and user experience of software
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests.
- Knowledge of web performance testing (e.g., Lighthouse, Web Vitals)
- Familiarity with web accessibility (a11y) standards and testing.
- Previous work experience in a large-scale e-commerce environment.
