Associate Software Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Associate Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will work closely with our Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams to help build scalable web applications and cloud-based solutions. This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to a collaborative development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications using .NET Core/5+ and modern UI frameworks

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering best practices

  • Collaborate with engineering teams, product management, and design to implement technical solutions

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services

  • Work with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) to deploy and maintain applications

  • Implement automated testing strategies and participate in CI/CD pipeline development

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full software development lifecycle

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems

  • Collaborate with and learn from senior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional or internship software development experience
  • Basic proficiency in .NET framework or .NET Core/5+ development
  • Exposure to modern UI frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
  • Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)
  • Understanding of fundamental software design principles
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of basic API concepts (REST, JSON)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Practical understanding of CI/CD concepts
  • Exposure to automated testing concepts and tools
  • Interest in microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of GraphQL as an alternative to REST
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools
  • Understanding of basic security concepts in software
  • Interest in full-stack or mobile development
  • A desire to learn about performance and scalability
