Join Aprio’s Outsourcing team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for an Accounting Associate to join their dynamic team.
Position Responsibilities:
You’ll take ownership of core accounting functions while working closely with Senior Accountants and Managers to support client success:
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients with accuracy and timeliness
Maintain bank and credit card accounts through automated and manual feeds
Review, code, and post transactions while identifying and resolving discrepancies
Oversee accounts payable using tools like Bill.com and Dext, including:
Processing invoices on a defined schedule
Assigning GL codes, classes, invoice dates, and clear descriptions
Routing for approval
Coordinating reviews with Senior Accountants
Support accounts receivable activities such as recording deposits and applying payments
Review payroll reports and record payroll entries (wages, taxes, and liabilities)
Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting workpapers
Prepare financial statements with variance (flux) analysis to highlight key insights
Collaborate with internal team to address client requests, questions, and issues
Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement efforts
Step in to support the team in the absence of a Senior Accountant
Assist with 1099 preparation and filing during tax season
Assist with the year-end review process by reconciling book balances with tax returns, confirming account balances, and preparing workpapers and schedules for balance sheet accounts and significant income statement accounts.
Proactively review your own work and leverage Excel tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
Amenable to work Day-shift (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM PHT)
Work Set-up: Hybrid

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Certification: CPA is a plus
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Preferably supporting U.S.-based clients
Experience with professional services clients (preferred)
Audit experience is an advantage
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Bill.com required
Experience with NetSuite is a plus
Strong Excel skills, including use of formulas and data analysis tools
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating in a hybrid environment using tools such as Microsoft Teams and email; ability to interact directly with clients, and project managers
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to resolve technical and interpersonal challenges
Client Management: Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities effectively
Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities
