Artefact Benelux in Utrecht is looking for an ambitious Data & AI Engineer to strengthen our Tech team.
About the Role
Depending on your background and the project, you’ll focus on one or both tracks:
Data Platform
- Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines using dbt, Spark, or Airflow, with a focus on performance, observability, and data quality.
- Architect end-to-end data platforms with robust data models to support analytical and operational use cases.
AI & LLM Applications
- Design and deploy LLM-based solutions
- RAG systems, Knowledge Graphs, or agentic workflows — using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Evaluate and integrate new AI tools and models to improve reliability and performance at scale.
Across both tracks
- Work directly with clients to translate business needs into production-ready technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable Python and SQL, and communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
We’re seeking someone who has:
- Fluency in English (mandatory); Dutch or French is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent), in Data Engineer, AI Engineer or similar role
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with a focus on production-quality code.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT principles or LLM orchestration frameworks, depending on your track
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, or Databricks) (Professional Certification is a plus).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
