The Network Optimization Specialist oversees key strategic and tactical areas within the supply chain and logistics landscape. This role is responsible for gathering logistics data, monitoring distribution trends, and forecasting potential challenges for supply chain leaders.
One component of this position is the execution of tactical balancing between sites as a result of the monthly S&OP, ensuring that volume and operational load are distributed efficiently across the network. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement strategies that accelerate product flow, optimize site utilization, and improve overall operational costs to serve the demand. The other part is running Strategic scenarios as input for the annual Strategic planning meetings with Supply Chain and Operations leaders.
Key Responsibilities
This is a hybrid position based in Oegstgeest.
Effectively use the OMP tool to design, maintain, and validate outputs of optimization or simulation models for business decisions.
Establish and follow the calendar for different levels of network optimization activities related to Strategic Network Design, Greenfield Investments, Operating Network Optimization, and Cost to Serve Optimization.
Assist the AD Supply Chain and Operations leaders to determine the decisions around the sourcing and supply network with a sound foundation of modeling and sensitivity analysis of the results.
Support the LGM Supply Chain Director to design an efficient network thereby optimizing the total cost to serve demand efficiently by utilizing the synergies, capabilities and capacities across the European Avery Dennison network.
Identify model/scope requirements, drive alignment among stakeholders, and monitor progress on decisions taken and agreed upon during the different network optimization activities.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in supply chain management.
4-5 years of experience in supply chain and preferably in the area of Network Design and Optimization.
Sound knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Network Optimization Processes and Network Optimization.
Enthusiastic, self-driven, self-motivated individual who is capable of working with individuals at all levels and with stakeholders across different functions and geographies.
Strong project management skills to identify model/scope requirements, drive alignment among stakeholders, and monitor progress on decisions taken and agreed upon during the different network optimization activities
Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of Cognos.
