We develop digital language learning products for consumers and businesses. Since 2007, we’ve aimed to foster mutual understanding through language. We help people connect and communicate across cultures for travel, friendship, or career growth.

Our approach focuses on making learners conversational quickly. Studies from institutions like Michigan State University, Yale University, and the City University of New York show our methods are effective.

The Babbel app has over 60,000 lessons in 15 languages, including Spanish and Indonesian, all created by language experts. Our interactive content adapts to learners based on their behavior. We’ve sold over 25 million subscriptions.

Our technology stack includes TypeScript, Golang, and AWS. Our engineers design and maintain core Android components and SDKs, build customer-facing learning experiences, develop cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and Okta, and create video and motion graphics content.
