We are currently seeking a qualified Interface Coordinator to join our team. This full-time, permanent role will be based out of Toronto, ON. The Interface Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing all elements concerning field change communication between construction contractors and design team members to ensure complete, appropriate, and timely incorporation of up-to-date design information into site works. This role will work closely with counterparts in the Technical Advisory (TA) and Private-Public-Partnership (PPP) organizations to ensure transparent and effective information exchange supporting successful project execution of the Elevated Guideway Station (EGS).
Bantrel Infrastructure, is a key sub-vendor to Bechtel, have been appointed the Delivery Partner within an integrated team with the customer, Metrolinx, for the Ontario Line Subway (OLS) Project and will work in a Delivery Partner role within an integrated team with the customer organization for a Subway Project in Toronto, Ontario. The project scope includes the design build, operations and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment, being performed by two key PPP Contractors and multiple advanced early works (EAW) packages Contractors and two large Progressive Design Build Contracts. The scope includes both managing the Works associated with the program and with the individual construction projects.

On project title: Engineering Services During Construction (ESDC) Management Coordinator - EGS
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the EGS Manager on all field change-related issues, ensuring that design updates are promptly and accurately addressed by Project Co designers to maintain progress during construction.
- Track, monitor, and assess information exchanges (Shop Drawings, CRFIs, Site Instructions, NCRs, As Built Drawings) and alignment with project schedules.
- Coordinate with Project Co design management to ensure schedules are correlated and reconciled with EGS Project Co construction planning.
- Review identified site-led design changes, to ensure:
- Compliance with Project Requirements
- Commercial justification is evidenced and robust
- Interfaces and V&V have been addressed
- Constructability has been demonstrated
- Support development of mitigation strategies and/or incentives to reduce risks associated with utility and construction interfaces.
- Provide advice on contract management and field change processes in collaboration with the project team.
- Monitor adherence to EGS Engineering Services During Construction Management Plans and highlight issues or improvement opportunities.
- Attend weekly meetings, in support of the schedule, work with contractors to expedite process of Construction RFIs and issue of Site Instructions.
- Consolidate quality of integration submittals and maintain quality performance data.
- Monitor construction interfaces and support risk identification and mitigation.
- Engage with T&C personnel to capture testing requirements.
- Assist TA in monitoring V&V compliance.
- Escalate design / technical issues resulting in construction quality failures to EGS Manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering,
OR Engineering Technology (CET) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting design, construction, or project management activities during the construction phase.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, as-builts, and schematics.
- Familiarity with design specifications, construction standards, and IFC packages.
- Experience managing RFIs, NCRs, Site Instructions, and field change notices.
- Understanding of design approval workflows and technical query processes.
- Proficiency with common Engineering Content Management (ECM) systems (e.g., Aconex, ProjectWise, SharePoint, Unifier).
- Ability to manage document metadata, workflows, and revision control.
- Experience coordinating between design teams, construction teams, and third‑party stakeholders.
- Understanding of interface management, including interface registers, dependencies, and handover criteria.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Base Annual Salary: $100,000 to $150,000 CAD per year (Bantrel provides a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the role. The figures shared represent base salary only and do not include other elements of the Total Rewards offering. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and alignment with the role requirements.)
