The Role

The Customer Trust Specialist serves as BeyondTrust’s security authority in relevant customer-facing engagements, where applicable, to support new opportunities and renewals. This is a strategic, revenue-supporting position that operates at the intersection of security expertise, customer success, and sales enablement. The Customer Trust Specialist will represent BeyondTrust’s security posture directly to enterprise customers, including CISO-level audiences, respond to complex security questionnaires and RFPs, and bridge the gap between our internal security program and customer expectations.

This role requires deep technical fluency in cloud security, PAM, and identity security, combined with the ability to communicate complex BeyondTrust specific security topics clearly to both technical and executive audiences. The Customer Trust Specialist will drive measurable impact by supporting deal cycles, reducing churn risk, and establishing BeyondTrust as a trusted security partner for enterprise and regulated-industry accounts.

The Customer Trust Specialist will focus on customer security engagement, RFP and questionnaire ownership and cross-functional support to Sales, Customer Success, and GTM teams. Additional duties include internal Trust & Assurance responsibilities such as representing Security on PHRs, Cloud Governance communications, and Security Issues Management.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the named security expert on enterprise customer calls, including CISO briefings, architecture reviews, and BeyondTrust security deep-dives.
  • Conduct proactive security advisory sessions for strategic accounts, mapping BeyondTrust capabilities to customer security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, CMMC, FedRAMP, etc.).
  • Act as the primary escalation point for security-sensitive customer concerns, coordinating with internal InfoSec, Engineering, and Legal teams.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to qualify security objections and accelerate deal cycles by removing security-based blockers.
  • Represent BeyondTrust security posture in customer-facing materials, including briefings, white papers, and public-facing documentation.
  • Maintain and continuously improve a centralized security knowledge base to support scalable, consistent responses across the GTM team.
  • Partner with Threat Intelligence team and monitor changes to the security regulatory environment to proactively advise customers on how BeyondTrust aligns with emerging requirements.
  • Support internal Trust & Assurance responsibilities including Product Health Reviews (PHRs), Cloud Governance communications, and Security Issues Management customer outreach.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity architecture, or a related technical field, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Deep familiarity with PAM, identity security, Zero Trust architectures, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in a customer-facing or consulting role; comfort presenting to C-level and CISO audiences.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 2700142001, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS.
  • Strong written communication skills for crafting precise, authoritative security documentation and customer-facing materials.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret technical data (application logs, architecture diagrams, technical reports) and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Legal, managing multiple concurrent engagements.
  • Problem-solving through proactive analysis, creative thinking, and collaboration to resolve security, compliance, and customer engagement challenges.

Nice To Have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Information Assurance
  • Experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or customer advisory capacity within a security vendor
  • Experience supporting Cloud Platforms or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications
  • Experience working with federal agencies or in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, SLED)
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or AWS/Azure Security certifications
  • Deep knowledge of PAM or identity security products and their security architecture implications
  • Active engagement with emerging technology frameworks including AI and Post-Quantum Cryptography
