About the Role

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy secure, scalable AI solutions leveraging OpenAI models. This role will focus on developing production-grade AI capabilities—including generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), and decision intelligence—while ensuring compliance with banking regulatory, security, and risk standards.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs, enterprise software development, and delivering AI solutions in highly regulated financial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Solution Design & Development

Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications using OpenAI models

Build GenAI solutions such as:

Conversational assistants and copilots

Document ingestion, summarization, and classification

Knowledge retrieval and question-answering solutions (RAG patterns)

Workflow and decision augmentation tools

Develop and optimize prompts, embeddings, fine-tuning strategies, and evaluation approaches

Expose AI capabilities via secure APIs and services for enterprise consumption

Enterprise Engineering & Integration:

Integrate OpenAI-powered capabilities into existing banking platforms and workflows

Work with structured and unstructured data sources, ensuring data quality and lineage

Implement scalable, maintainable application architectures aligned with bank technology standards

Support CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and secure SDLC practices

Risk, Security & Governance:

Ensure AI solutions comply with:

Data privacy and confidentiality requirements

Model risk management, explainability, and audit expectations

Regulatory obligations (e.g., data residency, GDPR, internal risk policies)

Implement AI guardrails including content moderation, prompt controls, and output validation

Partner with risk, legal, compliance, and cyber teams across the solution lifecycle

Collaboration & Delivery:

Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and data teams

Translate business problems into AI-enabled solutions with measurable outcomes

Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional delivery teams

Contribute to reusable AI components, patterns, and internal best practices

Production Support & Continuous Improvement:

Monitor AI solutions for quality, performance, drift, and risk

Support incident resolution and root-cause analysis

Stay current on OpenAI model capabilities, limitations, and responsible AI practices

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with:

OpenAI APIs (GPT models, embeddings, function calling, assistants)

RESTful APIs and application development (Python, Java, or C#)

Solid understanding of:

Generative AI and LLM concepts

Prompt engineering, evaluation, and testing

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures

Experience integrating AI into enterprise applications and data platforms

Experience

7+ years of software engineering, data, or AI development experience

Experience in banking or other regulated industries

Proven ability to deliver secure, compliant, enterprise-scale solutions
