We are seeking a Financial Market Analyst to lead the production of high-quality market analysis that supports both our marketing strategy and external media presence. This role sits at the intersection of content, media and PR, delivering timely insights across asset classes including equities, indices, commodities, FX, and crypto.
The ideal candidate combines deep financial market expertise with strong communication skills and experience engaging with the media. Established journalist relationships are a strong advantage.
Key responsibilities:
Market Analysis & Research
- Frame technical outlooks with balanced discussion of alternative scenarios and risk considerations, ensuring communications remain analytical, educational and aligned with regulatory standards
- Produce daily market updates across major asset classes, including macro narratives, corporate earnings, central bank decisions and cross-asset linkages
- Develop forward-looking commentary and thematic research pieces across multiple asset classes
- Translate complex market developments into clear, accessible insights for retail traders
Content Creation (Marketing Channels)
- Create written market commentary for local websites and social channels, with content angles tied to real market catalysts and measurable audience outcomes
- Contribute to campaign-driven content aligned with marketing priorities and KPIs
- Support educational and product-related content with expert market insights, addressing strategy frameworks for short-term trading and long-term investing
- Participate in video content, webinars, and short-form educational media, where required
Media & PR Engagement
- Provide daily written market commentary for journalists and clients, including reactive and forward-looking insights
- Serve as a spokesperson for media interviews, TV/radio hits, podcasts, webinars, and live market commentary
- Deliver timely, accurate written responses to media enquiries on breaking news
- Build and maintain relationships with financial journalists and media outlets
- Contribute to proactive PR strategies through data-led stories and market insights
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, PR, and Business teams to align market narratives with business objectives
- Support regional teams with localised market insights when needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in financial markets (brokerage, asset management, financial media, or research.
- Proven experience producing market commentary for external audiences.
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics and multi-asset markets
- Demonstrated experience working with media or acting as a spokesperson.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond quickly to breaking market events with clear, accurate analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
