Job Summary

The Purchasing Manager – International Sourcing is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and materials from global suppliers, with a primary focus on India and China. This role oversees supplier relationships, contract negotiations, cost control, and supply continuity while navigating international logistics, customs requirements, and currency considerations. The position leverages ERP systems—with Oracle experience preferred—to ensure accurate purchasing, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for international suppliers, primarily in India and China

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and lead times

• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard overseas suppliers and manufacturers

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, MOQs, and long-term supply agreements

• Coordinate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and customs brokers

• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, compliance, and cost

• Manage purchase orders, forecasts, and inventory planning

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies

• Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving and risk-mitigation opportunities

• Resolve supplier issues including delays, quality concerns, or disruptions

• Prepare purchasing reports and KPIs for leadership

Systems & Tools

Skill and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field

• 7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience

• Experience sourcing from India and/or China

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills

• Knowledge of international logistics and import processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Oracle ERP or Procurement modules

• ERP systems for purchasing and supplier management

• Preferred experience with Oracle ERP / Oracle Procurement / Oracle Cloud SCM

• Knowledge of Incoterms, customs documentation, and tariffs

• Experience managing long lead times and currency exposure

• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or CIPS

Work Environment & Travel

• Office-based or hybrid role

• Flexible hours for international time zones

• Occasional international travel may be required
