The Business Development Manager at ArborSafe is responsible for driving sustainable growth through new client acquisition and the expansion of existing customer relationships within the arboriculture safety and compliance sector.
This role plays a key part in supporting ArborSafe’s mission to deliver innovative tree safety solutions and ensure compliance for councils, utilities, and commercial clients. You will identify growth opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and deliver revenue outcomes aligned with business objectives.
What you’ll be doing
Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve agreed sales targets.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across target markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and high-quality service delivery.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic planning.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity and pipeline information in CRM systems.
What you’ll do to be successful in the role
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proven success selling complex software solutions, with a results-driven mindset.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed KPIs, including pipeline health, opportunity coverage, wallet share, and new customer acquisition.
Experience leading virtual bid teams, ensuring timely, coordinated, and high-quality proposal responses.
Proficiency in Salesforce, with confidence managing pipelines, forecasts, and opportunities.
Strong strategic sales planning skills, focused on delivering measurable outcomes.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales challenges.
Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
Proven success in customer relationship management, building long-term partnerships and driving sustainable growth.
Qualifications or experience in arboriculture or environmental science will be highly regarded.
