We founded Clair in 2019 to provide embedded On-Demand Pay (ODP) and Earned Wage Access (EWA) solutions. We partner with HR Tech, Digital Payroll, Wallet, Human Capital Management, and Workforce Management platforms. Our goal is to integrate early access to pay directly into their applications, letting employees get their earned wages before payday.
Our solution is built with compliance in mind. Advances are originated by Pathward®, N.A., a national bank. Employers have no setup, zero payroll changes, and no direct costs. While there are no mandatory fees for the service itself, users might pay instant transfer fees if they disburse advances to an external bank account immediately.
Partners can earn commissions and see better employee engagement and retention. Integration usually takes about 4 months from contract to beta launch. We customize the embedded experience to match partner branding and aim for an intuitive user experience. Our platform has an average adoption rate of 20% and an 80 Net Promoter Score (NPS) among users. For payroll partners, we support automatic repayment, and for workforce management platforms, we offer pay access based on hours worked. Gusto and Intuit QuickBooks are among our partners.
