We’re hiring an AML Systems Administrator to own our compliance operations tooling end-to-end: stakeholder discovery, process design, configuration/build, integrations, rollout, training, documentation, and measurable continuous improvement.
This is a tool-agnostic role. We continuously evaluate and adopt the tools that best fit our needs, so we need someone who can learn fast and operate across multiple platforms. Candidates focused on only one specific vendor/service are not a fit.
The role is hands-on: you will implement workflows, rules, forms, automations, and integrations yourself (low-code/no-code plus light scripting where needed).
Responsibilities:
- Own compliance operations tooling end-to-end: requirements intake, solution design, configuration/build, releases, monitoring via metrics and continuous improvement.
- Translate stakeholder needs into system logic: workflows, routing, approvals, risk tiers/flags, exceptions, and case handling.
- Build and maintain integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, data sync) with internal systems; use automation tools where appropriate; lead development of custom integrations when required.
- Define and track operational metrics (SLA, drop-off, backlog, case quality), and drive improvements based on data.
- Run UAT, manage change requests, maintain release notes, and ensure safe changes in a sensitive environment.
- Create documentation (runbooks, SOPs) and train users to ensure adoption and consistent operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience owning and improving business-critical operational tooling (workflow/case/onboarding systems), including hands-on configuration/build.
- Capability with low-code/no-code platforms and ability to implement logic using rules/expressions and light scripting when needed.
- Integration experience: APIs/webhooks, data mapping, troubleshooting, and reliability practices (retries, monitoring).
- Ability to independently drive work “from problem to production”: gather needs, propose solution, implement, document, train, iterate.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
- Comfortable working in an evolving environment; not tied to a single vendor or product.
- Practical use of Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Copilot/Claude or similar) to accelerate analysis, specs/documentation, troubleshooting, and scripting - with strong validation habits and strict data hygiene (no sensitive data leakage).
Nice to have:
- Understanding of AML/KYC/KYB processes and risk-based controls.
- Experience in regulated fintech/crypto/payments environments.
- SQL and/or Python/JavaScript for analysis and automation.
- Experience building dashboards/MI and operational monitoring/alerting.
- Experience supporting vendor evaluations, PoCs, and migrations.
