About College Advising Corps

College Advising Corps, founded in 2005, aims to increase opportunities for students by making education beyond high school more accessible and equitable. We partner with universities nationwide to place recent college graduates in under-resourced high schools. These near-peer advisers support students in achieving their postsecondary goals, such as community college, a four-year institution, trade school, or military service. This model assists students in low-income communities where guidance departments may be understaffed.

We have helped over 825,000 students enroll in college and secure over $14 billion in aid and scholarships. In 2022, we deployed over 800 advisers. To date, we have helped over 840,000 seniors enroll in college, enlist in military service, or become career-ready. We operate in fifteen states, working with over 30 colleges and universities. Our strategic investors include AmeriCorps, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the John M Belk Endowment, the Taco Bell Foundation, and the Panda Cares Foundation.
