JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a Regional Field Marketing Manager working remotely out of the Chicago, IL area. This role will focus on building relationships and supporting key accounts throughout the Illinois market. We don’t believe in a typical day or week. We embrace challenges and are rewarded by overcoming objections to achieve goals. This individual will partner with our national corporate team, wholesale retailers, and external account managers.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Be the expert on the brands, business, and cannabis category. Share that knowledge and
passion with others
- Support the go-to-market process of new products and strains to drive demand and create new news for our House of Brands portfolio: Cresco, High Supply, Floracal, Good News, Wonder, Mindy, and Remedi
- Be seen as an industry leader and help drive conversation to safe and fun use of cannabis
- Leverage Canva and Hotbox (internal creative agency) to build marketing materials that highlight our House of Brands.
- Identify KPIs and implement opportunities to expand our retail presence through distribution and velocity-driving tactics while demonstrating value to our retail partners
- Manage the IL Brand Field team to oversee the further growth of our key retailers in their specified territories
- Establish strong working relationships with decision-makers, managers, and Wellness
- Advisors/ within key account list, becoming a trusted resource and partner, helping them excel in their roles
- Educate and excite Wellness Advisors/ Budtenders and other retail key stakeholders on brands, product benefits, consumer need states, and industry trends
- Provide in-market training, support, and ensure quality standards are in line
- Plan and develop merchandising, menu placement, and visibility strategies
- Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory
- Collaborate with key accounts to create attractive sales floor displays and make sure that our product is prominently displayed
- Increase brand(s) visibility on shelves as well as sell-in new products
- Support clients with effective custom merchandising, focusing on POS/ POP brand placements
- Schedule and execute customer and consumer events to help drive demand and trial of new products
- Support the BFRs as needed for crucial account support tasks, such as Budtender Training, Merchandising, and setting up region-wide gifts with purchase.
- Run monthly/ quarterly Region meetings with cross-functional teams, reporting learnings and action insights from the field
- Partner with the Director of Regional Marketing on budget allocation, Brand Field team KPIs, and sales support tools
- Lead Paid Media efforts in partnership with the RMD, including e-commerce and programmatic providers such as I Heart Jane, Dutchie, and Surfside.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Complete all administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain proper records for all expense reports and ensure they are completed on time with receipts attached on a weekly basis
- Develop and distribute all program training and marketing materials to the field
- Compete all paperwork and meet administrative deadlines
- Closely monitor and track all activations and special events
- Own the integrity of all training materials and in-store activations and ensure that updates are made as necessary across all platforms
- Understand and ensure compliance with all state rules/regulations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years’ related industry sales or marketing experience
- Local travel 50%, including occasional nights and weekends
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills – including the ability to listen and identify opportunities to drive increased brand loyalty
- Analytical and strategic mindset, measuring KPIs of field activities
- Ability to coordinate efforts cross-functionally with sales, marketing, commercial, compliance, product, and facility teams
- Candidates must be familiar with on/off-premise marketing initiatives
- Familiarity with local market trend-setting accounts
- Strong project management, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Skilled at multitasking with an ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
- Experience with Repsly, Canva, Monday.com, Tableau, ProcureDesk, and Adobe Suite is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cannabis, trends, and industry preferred, but will train the right candidate
- Flexibility to support neighboring markets for Cresco Wholesale House of Brands

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay Range
$80,000—$100,000 USD
