An exciting opportunity has opened up on our Investment Team.
We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Investment Data & Reporting Specialist to join the investment function supporting our UCITS funds and segregated portfolios. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and can take ownership of critical data processes that underpin portfolio management, reporting, regulatory oversight, and investment governance.
The successful candidate will support the portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, and traders by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of all investment data used for daily portfolio management, client reporting, SAA processes, risk monitoring, and board/ManCo submissions.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
- Lead data quality initiatives for key datasets (portfolio holdings, performance, risk, product MI)
- Support the business glossary, critical data element definitions, and data catalogue processes
- Perform validation of key portfolio datasets including holdings, transactions, cash balances, performance, exposures, risk metrics, and benchmark data.
- Investigate data breaks, reconcile inconsistencies and drive timely resolution with Operations, Administrators, and service providers.
- Oversee the quality of datasets feeding into SAA reviews, PM/quant analytics, risk monitoring, and investment reporting.
- Maintain documentation on data sources, quality rules, validation procedures, and exception handling.
- Support the production and validation of client reports, board reporting packs, ManCo submissions, and internal investment dashboards.
- Ensure the accuracy of data used in investment commentaries, risk summaries, and performance reporting.
- Coordinate with PMs and quants to supply validated data for ad hoc analytics, regulatory filings, and board materials.
- Collaborate with the Senior Fund Operations & Governance Lead to ensure data feeding into governance processes (e.g., oversight dashboards, factsheets, KIID/KID data, performance summaries) is complete and accurate.
- Liaise with the fund administrator, custodian, and internal operations teams to resolve NAV issues, pricing exceptions, and security master data discrepancies.
- Monitor compliance with investment guidelines through ongoing validation of related datasets.
- Contribute to maintaining high-quality data controls within the investment function, aligned with regulatory expectations for UCITS managers.
- Maintain internal documentation for critical data elements used in investment reporting and risk analytics.
- Participate in projects involving data improvements, system upgrades, or process optimisation.
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
- 3–6+ years’ experience in investment data, fund operations, performance/risk reporting, or data oversight within asset/wealth management or fund administration.
- Strong understanding of investment data structures (holdings, benchmarks, transactions, pricing, corporate actions, FX, analytics).
- Experience resolving data exceptions and working with administrators, custodians, or internal ops teams.
- High proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, or reporting tools is advantageous.
- Experience with UCITS funds, portfolio reporting, or regulatory data requirements (CBI, ESMA, UCITS) is a strong plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple deliverables and strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating data issues into clear actions for PMs, quants, ops, and external service providers.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a small, high‑performing investment team.
