Job Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner – APAC (India and Australia) will serve as a hands-on HR partner supporting leadership teams across India and Australia, responsible for end-to-end HR support while strengthening talent management practices.
Reporting directly to the Global CHRO of DeepHealth, this role will operate as part of the global HR leadership structure, partnering closely with regional HR Business Partners and business leaders to ensure alignment of talent strategy, performance discipline, and governance standards across regions.
The HRBP will partner closely with leaders across India and Australia. The role requires a pragmatic HR leader who can operate both strategically and operationally, with the ability to execute independently in a global matrix environment.
This position is primarily an HRBP role with additional responsibility for talent management, including performance discipline, manager capability, and development planning. The individual will strengthen talent attraction, mid-career development, high-potential identification, structured career pathing, and succession sequencing while ensuring disciplined implementation of enterprise HR frameworks.
The role requires a pragmatic HR leader who can operate hands-on, provide clear guidance to leaders, and execute talent and people initiatives in a global matrix environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Partner with business leaders to understand organizational needs and provide clear, actionable HR guidance aligned with business priorities.
· Able to translate workforce strategy into practical organizational actions, supporting leadership teams on organizational design, talent planning, and capability development.
· Serve as the primary HRBP for India, supporting leaders on employee relations, performance management, compensation decisions, organizational design, and workforce planning.
· Provide hands-on execution across the employee lifecycle including hiring support, onboarding, performance documentation, and offboarding.
· Assess external talent ecosystems, including university pipelines, industry talent networks, and potential partner organizations, to strengthen long-term talent attraction strategy.
· Design and implement structured career frameworks, competency models, and progression standards for technical and mid-career talent.
· Support leadership teams in developing stronger manager capability for coaching, performance feedback, and career development of technical professionals.
· Lead and execute talent reviews, succession planning processes, and high-potential identification with measurable follow-through.
· Strengthen compensation governance and promotion sequencing to ensure disciplined and equitable talent decisions.
· Build retention strategies informed by workforce analytics, engagement trends, and attrition insights.
· Elevate recruiting discipline and talent acquisition quality, including direct sourcing for hard-to-fill roles; demonstrated hands-on proficiency using LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search is required.
· Define and institutionalize candidate evaluation standards, pipeline strategy, and onboarding quality frameworks to improve hiring effectiveness.
· Define and operationalize employment and compensation governance frameworks to ensure consistency, scalability, and regulatory alignment.
· Monitor workforce metrics including retention, engagement, mobility, and promotion velocity, providing data-driven recommendations to leadership.
· Align regional employment practices with Indian labor regulations and global HR governance standards, in partnership with HR Operations and Legal.
· Collaborate with global HR leadership to implement enterprise talent initiatives locally and contribute to broader talent framework development.
· Collaborate closely with regional HR partners and business leaders to ensure alignment of talent strategy and people priorities across regions.
· Operate effectively in a global matrix environment, aligning with centralized HR governance and global practices.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
· 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with significant experience operating as a hands-on HR Business Partner in India
· Demonstrated experience partnering directly with senior business leaders and owning HR outcomes end-to-end
· Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws and employment practices, with experience managing complex employee relations matters independently
· Demonstrated experience supporting recruiting efforts, including direct sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter and partnership with hiring managers on difficult-to-fill roles
· Experience supporting performance management cycles, including calibration discussions, performance documentation, and manager coaching
· Exposure to compensation governance, including leveling, internal equity considerations, and promotion decisions
· Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization with alignment to centralized HR governance
· Strong verbal communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and concisely with business leaders
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

· Experience directly supporting Australia-based employees in an HRBP capacity
· Experience supporting technical, product, or R&D teams
· Experience working in a distributed APAC environment
· Experience operating in a scaling or high-growth organization
· Demonstrated experience driving talent management initiatives such as succession discussions, development planning, and manager capability

Travel
This position requires domestic / international travel up to 10%.
