About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our DevOps function and scale infrastructure supporting 1 million+ active users. You’ll own the performance, reliability, and evolution of our AWS-based infrastructure while building and mentoring a high-performing DevOps team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll split time between architecture decisions, implementation work, and team development.

- Lambda for serverless compute
- ECS with Fargate for containerized workloads
- RDS for managed databases
- Auto Scaling for dynamic capacity management
- SQS, SNS, and EventBridge for event-driven architecture
Infrastructure & Deployment:
- Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- GitHub Actions for CI/CD
- CloudWatch for monitoring and observability (potential migration to Datadog)
- Kubernetes/EKS (planned migration)
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 5+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience
- Proven experience managing infrastructure for applications with millions active users
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS services, particularly Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge
- Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Deep understanding of performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting at scale
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
- Kubernetes knowledge and experience (EKS experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Experience with on-call responsibilities and incident management
Nice to Have:
- Scripting experience with Python, Node.js, or similar languages
- Experience with Kafka and or RabbitMq
- Experience with Datadog or other advanced observability platforms
- Background in cost optimization strategies for high-traffic applications
- Experience with blue/green or canary deployment strategies
- Knowledge of GitOps practices
