What’s the Job?
We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Supply Chain/Procurement team at Dexterra Group.
What You’ll Be Doing
While this role is often referred to as a Category Manager, at Dexterra, we use Strategic Sourcing Manager to better represent our focus on building strong supplier partnerships and delivering smart sourcing strategies that drive exceptional service across our business.

As our Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll play a key role and be at the forefront of building partnerships that deliver value, quality, and performance - with a focus on our food categories (protein, produce, grocery).
- Developing and executing category strategy roadmaps aligned to Dexterra’s competitive goals.
- Leading RFPs, bid analysis, supplier evaluation, and selection processes.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings, supplier rationalization, and specification optimization.
- Executing sourcing strategies across Food and Non-Food channels, tailored to operational needs.
- Developing, negotiating, and managing Master Service Agreements (MSAs), including pricing, scope, and contract duration.
- Overseeing full contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance and performance.
- Managing supplier segmentation, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building strong, strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating across business units to drive alignment, scale, and procurement efficiencies.
- Leading rollout and adoption of sourcing strategies across national and international teams.
- Leveraging data and analytics to monitor spend, supplier performance, and compliance.
- Conducting supplier risk assessments and supporting mitigation strategies.
- Designing and improving supply chain processes, tools, and category programs.
- Maintaining procurement systems, including preferred supplier catalogues and internal platforms.
- Supporting governance, compliance, and adherence to procurement standards.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business, or Commerce - or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in food-related strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation and management- Sales experience is a plus!
- Strong understanding of category-based buying, vendor capabilities, and distribution processes.
- A collaborative mindset, a sharp eye for detail, and a drive to innovate.
- Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite.
- Bonus points for experience with NetSuite!
- Ability to manage time, make decisions, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to health and safety and understanding of foodservice product utilization.
