Position Overview:

As a Senior Technical Product Manager – Risk & Audit Core at Diligent, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of cross-cutting services and integration capabilities that enable the Risk & Audit product suite. The primary focus of this role is the development and evolution of shared services, APIs, and integration capabilities that are consumed by multiple product teams rather than ownership of individual end-user features.

You will operate at the intersection of product, architecture, and engineering to ensure these services are scalable, secure, and extensible. While the platform supports Risk & Audit solutions, this role prioritizes technical platform thinking, service reusability, and ecosystem enablement over deep subject-matter specialization.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Vision & Strategy

  • Define and evolve the long-term vision, strategy, and success metrics for shared services and integration capabilities within the Risk & Audit platform.

  • Align platform investments with company strategy, architectural direction, and product portfolio needs, with a focus on supporting Diligent product teams ship AI first products at scale.

  • Own a roadmap focused on reusable services, internal frameworks, and technical enablers that support multiple product teams.

  • Prioritize initiatives that improve scalability, consistency, performance, and developer efficiency across the ecosystem.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and DevOps teams to ensure shared services meet reliability, scalability, and compliance expectations.

  • Participate in architectural discussions and trade-off decisions while representing product and business outcomes.

  • Act as the voice of internal product teams and integration partners consuming platform services.

  • Gather requirements across multiple stakeholders and translate them into cohesive service capabilities and technical requirements.

  • Maintain a prioritized backlog balancing new capabilities, technical enablers, platform modernization, and technical debt reduction.

  • Define clear acceptance criteria and measurable success indicators for platform deliverables.

  • Establish KPIs related to adoption, reliability, latency, and service performance.

  • Use telemetry, usage analytics, and feedback loops to drive continuous improvement and informed prioritization.

  • Ensure consistency in service design, naming conventions, and lifecycle management practices.

  • Monitor trends in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, APIs, AI technologies, and integration tooling.

  • Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions for platform components and shared service technologies.

Required Experience / Skills

Experience

  • 5+ years in Product Management with at least 3 years focused on platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products.

  • Proven experience owning cross-team or cross-product initiatives in SaaS or enterprise software environments.

  • Demonstrated success delivering APIs, shared services, or integration platforms at scale.

  • Experience working in complex, multi-product ecosystems.

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architectures, APIs (REST/GraphQL), authentication/authorization models, and data integration patterns.

  • Comfortable participating in architectural and technical trade-off discussions with senior engineers and architects.

  • Familiarity with observability, service reliability, and performance considerations in large-scale systems.

  • Experience collaborating with engineering leadership, architects, and multiple product teams.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and effectively balance competing priorities.

  • Strong requirements writing skills for both functional and technical audiences.

  • Experience managing complex backlogs that include features, enablers, and technical debt.

  • Data-driven decision making with clear KPI ownership.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong facilitation and alignment skills across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance product management workflows (e.g., documentation, requirements synthesis, user research analysis, prototyping).

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about AI technologies and their application to enterprise software.

  • Ability to think critically about AI capabilities and limitations when evaluating platform investments and technical trade-offs.

  • Exposure to governance, risk, or compliance products is beneficial but not required.
