Position Overview
We are looking for aQA Engineer (Mid-level)to join ourDiligentengineering organization. You will help deliver secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions that support our customers in managing critical information and making better governance decisions. You will work in a modern microservice-based environment, primarily usingNodeJS(backend) andReact(frontend), collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across our applications.
As a QA Engineer you will work in anAgileteam with responsibility for designing and executing both automated and manual tests, contributing to the QA strategy for complex features, and identifying/reporting defects. You’ll collaborate closely with all members of the team to help ensure a high-quality product.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the team to break down larger projects into testable user stories and tasks
Contribute to thetest strategy and test plansfor complex functionalities
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within the sprint
Help refine and followquality guidelines and engineering practiceswithin the team
Performmanual acceptance testingfor user stories within sprints
Collaborate with Agile team members as solutions are developed, applying aquality mindsetthroughout the entire development lifecycle
Perform all aspects of test verification, includingtest environment management,functional,regression, andintegrationtesting
Contribute to the evaluation and use ofAI-driven testing solutions(e.g., intelligent test generation, defect prediction, adaptive test strategies) using LLMs and other AI models
Stay informed aboutAI trends, tools, and regulationsrelevant to software testing and bring ideas back to the team
Develop and maintaintest automationand integrate it with thebuild and delivery pipeline
Required Experience/Skills
3–5 yearsof experience in software testing, including at least2+ years in test automation
Solid experience in ahands-on development-in-testrole at a commercial software company
Experience automatingend-to-end (E2E)test cases withTypeScriptand preferablyPlaywright(the project is migrating from Nightwatch.js to Playwright)
Experience automatingAPI-level testsin amicroservice architecture
Foundational understanding of howAI can be applied to software engineering and testing(e.g., LLM-assisted test creation, analysis, or tooling)
Practical knowledge ofCI/CD tools(e.g., GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience creating and executingmanual test cases
Strongcommunication skillsand the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers and other stakeholders
Enjoys working in adiverse, agile environmentand contributing to continuous improvement
Some experience supporting or pairing with more junior QA/Test Engineers
Preferred Experience/Skills
Previous experience withperformance testing, preferably usingk6
Experience working withAWS
Prior exposure toAI-assisted testing toolsor experimentation with LLMs in a testing context
